I’m a media professional with over a decade’s experience in journalism, newsroom strategy and building digital content/news products.
I’ve reported and written for Indian and international newsrooms, advocacy organisations and digital agencies such as The Indian Express, Vice News, Open Magazine, Conde Nast International, Fortune International, Lonely Planet, Vox Media, The Established, Breakthrough India and Newsworthy. I’ve been a South Asia and Indonesia correspondent for Vice News. Right now, I consult as the editorial lead (part time) with Asian Dispatch, an independent news publishing project and network of 18 Asian newsroom,
I specialise in long-form and narrative journalism and my reporting has taken me across India but also Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, South Korea, Nepal and – remotely – Pakistan and Afghanistan. My work has appeared in text, podcast, vertical video and documentary formats, garnering over 70 million+ views across channels.
I’m the recipient of 2024 Chevening South Asia Journalism Program and Oxford Climate Journalism Network 2024 fellowships. I’m also an Earth Journalism Network and International Women’s Media Foundation grantee.
